Though I'm not sure what it'd be like to weld while looking through the perf plate that's on there!

 

how will it stand up to the heat? ive tried a few decals and they just shrivel up and fall off. id be interested to kno how it holds up!

That's pretty sweet, the only thing custom on my hood is when one of my welding partners stuck a spongebob sticker on my old huntsman

 

I put some spikes on mine when we were really slow at work. It's locked up in my toolbox at work right now though.
I've seen them with flame jobs before but nothing as nice as that Iron Man hood.

 

Thats pretty awesome. Are the eye slots visible when you weld? Looks proffesional. Great hood, awesome movie as well.

 

My helmet is plain black, except for the sticker on the inside that says ***hole,
so everyone knows who's helmet it is

 

this is one of mine its the new speedglas 100

 

Total custom, I cut it down with a grinder so I don't get hit in the throat anymore.

 

Now that is the best damn hood ever made and the best custom job ive ever seen got one just like it

That is probably the "prettiest" hood here...a well used hood that has seen some use and still serves its purpose.

 

Would you beleve it is only 4mos old

When I had an optrel, I decorated it. I don't really miss it,but who knows where it ended up; I think I gave it away when I got the one above; s'funny, that.

 

here is my 9002X, i just rattle canned it because i was bored but im looking to get it professionally painted.

if anyone knows a good reliable painter in the macomb county area, im interested.

 

I got a new sticker. It's gotta count for something! :laugh:

They didn't have a chevy logo, so I went with my other favorite truck!

Also added one to the other side of the helmet off a sticker sheet the other half brought back for me from a business trip to San Fransisco.

Sometimes I think I'm way to anal about my helmet. My biggest annoyance is that I didn't stick my "CWB" sticker on square with the other stickers! :laugh:

 

I want the Lincoln Patriot. My wife is a HUGE American Flag person. She would get all hot for me if she saw me wearing it.

Dude, that one would have to go in a glass case just to be admired and not used.

 

I know I am dating myself but having anything coloured up in my day would have invited attention. Coloured up underwear in a locker room would have gotten you some extreme attention. Welding gear dressed out would have made you the object of jokes in the lunchroom at the very least.
All new and clean gear would have identified you as a fish out of water or you are just out of the can.
Times have certainly changed..... Mom's have too much influence on their sons.
It's ok I guess but I will never understand it.

we live in an age of customization and personalization.

We like to make things represent us and when you look through the garage kinda get a reading to who that person is. Its with everything cars, houses, welding gear.
