So I was needing a pair of welding pliers, so I bought some. These Channellocks seemed controversial, but like every Channellock product I have, it worked flawlessly. (And yes I payed for them with my own money:rolleyes:, they weren't sent by Channellock:laugh:)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gc73VUs_6J0

Son, I just want the best for you. You have the ability and enthusiasm. Just use your discriminating awareness and some effort. I learned a bit when I was about 10 years old and fell out of a tree about 30 feet up. If we had had video cameras, I would have been a star.

Hi
Wayne here . I am a millwright mechanic . No welding tickets . But have done a lot of frame repair welding on older vehicles and body work . Am retired and do some hobby work like working on my 1975 Grand Torino . Hope everyone is working safe and getting along well.
Was wondering if anyone out there has any info on carbon arc torch rods? I've had one for years and used it with my old Lincoln 225 amp AC welder . I've been trying to buy carbon rods for the torch but all I seem to be able to find is DC carbon rods . I had them before and they didn't work well with the ac welder . The ac copper clad rods worked well . If anyone has a source for the Proper rods for my needs I would appreciate the link. Be well and have a great day.
Wayne

I don't think he actually hijacked it. He ADDED '' MOVING '' VISUAL AIDS tony.:laugh:

Tony, did you try cutting further in on the cutting edge ?? You want POOR cutting, get the HF ones. I took back three pair and gave up. The last pair I brought a piece of wire with for a IN STORE DEMO. I paid for them and asked to see manager. Guy comes over and I asked him to open package and cut this THIN piece of mig wire. Nothing, would not cut as bad as what you posted. He told cashier to return my money and said to keep the pliers.

I have to try and keep the wire near the center of the cutter otherwise they dont snip the wire all the way through. I own other channel lock lineman pliers and they are no where near as bad at cutting as these. As the op said and i agree these have a nice solid comfortable feel.

To the op not everything made in America is better. Sadly there are plenty of things the chinese do as good if not better. Who invented gun powder?
