To get the rebate, do you have to buy from a certain "authorized reseller" as listed on Miller's website? My local metal supply shops sell Miller welders, but they don't show up on Miller's website as an "authorized reseller". Only Praxair and Airgas stores in my area do. And I don't support either of those two places.

I was at my metal supply shop today and they quoted me $1250~ for the 211. If I got $200 of that, I'd bite.

The Miller Reseller has to sigh up fort the rebate program.
When buying Miller welders. Make sure they are an authorized Miller seller.
Then your warranty starts when you buy it. If the seller is not an authorized miller seller then the warranty starts when they buy it and could run out setting on the shelf. By serial number Miller knows who bought it first. I did a warranty repair where the welder was sold by Company "A" to Company "B" and then to the owner. It had been setting is Company"A" stock a long time and was way out of warranty by serial number. The only thing the saved him was Both companys were Authorized Miller sellers. So check out who you are buying from to protect you warranty. Or decode the serial number and make sure the welder is very new. 2015 is MF.
If store has X-net access, they can enter serial number and show you the build date.
