is there another way to find a serial number on a very old aead 200 le welder with an onan engine. The name plates are not on the machine anymore.:dizzy:

I have heard that on some of miller's engine drives that the serial number may have also been written on the inside of the front panel. You will have to pull the outer wrappers to check and see. I have a Roughneck 2e that is missing the serial number plate also. Pulled the wrapper to do a litter housekeeping on the inards, and while at it checked around on the inside for a possible number. Unfortunately, my unit was not one of them they did this for. Yours may have it, and then it may not. A shot in the dark. Good luck.

Correct Mike.

FYI, your Roughneck had a sticker at one time but it apparently fell off. You can see where it was on the backside of the front panel. I don't recall exactly where (I think on the right side when viewed from the front) but you can see the evidence of the adhesive that's about 3/8" wide X 1-1/4" long.

Happy Mother's day to Laurie and please tell Aaron Mr. Duane says Hi. Is Travis in college yet? :D

Yes Duane, I figured thats where it was at one time. Fired it up yesterday and used it for a while. Still kicking like it was when I got it! Very pleased with it!
Laurie says thanks and to extend the wish also to you and yours. Aaron said hi. Travis not in college yet, but thinks he is! I think its what we all know as the "terrible twos"!
