Hi Wondering where I could buy a hose crimper for crimping ferrels on Oxy Act. and air line hose etc.
I see some of the Vicegrip plier type But they seem to be limited to 1/4" hose. I would like to be able to crimp up to 1/2" hose. Thanks for any advice.

Usually the same place you get your fittings from. Good ones aren't cheap. I usually buy a new hose, its cheaper. One of my welding suppliers does torch, regulator, and hose repairs. Maybe someone near you does too.

Best of luck

the vise grips work sort of/sometmes, to get me out of a jam, going again. my disributor has a high dollar crimper w/ dies, so i take the hose in

Agree.
Oetiker is the standard for food service pressure lines /soda etc.

think my old Ford pickup had a few here and there also....

if you never heard of them they are similar to Shark bite clamps.

I just bought a pair of Oetikers that crimps from front and side. Hoping they will help in a few spots inside machinery.

Who would have thought ? An even better use than mine.

Oetiker Clamp Tool for Ear Clamps - Keg Outlet

@ tony - Nice,I don't think my plastic coated sheet metal compound action pliers will outlast your old ones.

For the amount they get used these days they will do me. If I was doing crimps every day I would have some sort compound action fitted with a hydraulic assist setup. The hands ain`t what they used to be.
