What do you need to know about it??

 

Just anything eg how old is it is, it reliable? Stuff like that.

Don't think this will help much but i could tell you what not to sell it for. There's a guy out here on CL who has been trying to sell his exact same for the past 3 months asking $100.

 

It my first and so far only welder I got it at a yardsale for $25

Gotta love yard sales, always tons of tools. Few wks ago i picked up a titan vapor 90a flux welder, 10/3 rv extension cord 30ft, and top tool chest for $50 total.

 

Yard sales are awesome. I got my craftsman drill press and a compresser that was like brand new for under 100

I'd grab some 6011 and see what it will actually do.

Old Dayton stuff was well made.

Only one remedy for not that good, practice.

 

Dayton is/was W.W. Grainger's house brand. Just give them a call and they will tell you all you would like to know.

 

Can't go wrong with Dayton... Few years back i picked up an old 50-60's Dayton bench grinder for $20 at a pawnshop. I took it home cleaned it up, blew it out, and it ran like a champ. Start up was quiet, hardly any vibration, and smooth. One of the best tools i'd ever own! No comparison to my noisy CP model i got now. Too bad i sold it because my exgf wanted to consolidate into a condo :angry:

 

I've been looking for info on this exact welder. My dad found it somewhere and brought it here. I had to replace the on/off switch, and now I'm battling with the coil at the back. A strand of it migrates and shorts it out. This is the only other one I've seen.
