Not getting gas to my tip of my MIG?

Newbie here so take it easy;) I'm welding with a Lincoln "handy mig" Im using .030" wire with C25 gas. It has worked very good for me until recently. My welds seam like they are not getting any gas to the puddle? Like i have the tank off... Its not off, and there is PLENTY of gas... I use a regulator with the guages, then i switched regulators to the one that came with the kit, thinking that there could be something wrong with the regulator. Nope same result? My Manual does not go that deep into trouble shooting. It seams like a solonoid is not opening or blocked line?

Any help would be great!

Thanks
Ken

p.s. On a different note, does it seam odd that i have to use a different heat range welding with Flux core and Solid core (flux core colder)? Same metal

I had a problem with a Lincoln mig 180. I found I didn't have the liner conduit ( the part that holds the liner) plugged into the machine right. You have to seat it pretty hard because it has a piece to keep the gas from leaking. If this is not it, take out your wire and take the conduit out of the machine. Then power it up and pull the trigger with your finger in the hole. If you don't have gas work you way back. I would be willing to bet it is not plugged in far enough though.

pull your gun from the feeder but leave the wire hooked up ,turn on gas and see if its reaching your gun, should hear the gas hissing where your gun plugs in when you pull the trigger. If you have gas could be the diffuser is clogged with spray or the gas feed in your gun cable could be blocked.if not check where your line comes out of the gas solenoid ,if not it is likely your solenoid.other than that check for loose wires on the solenoid .If nothing it is likely a bad board, time for a new welder or used parts

p.s. On a different note said:
That's normal. You should be switching the polarity for FC and solid, and you will generally get deeper penetration with the flux core. So, it will appear that the FC is running hotter at any given setting. Does that make sense?

Check your operator's manual for your machine's recommended setup. On some machines you can't change the polarity. On the ones I'm familiar with, it's just a matter of switching the cables to the opposite terminals inside the machine.
